The Right to Opt-Out

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to direct businesses not to sell or share their personal information to third parties.

OUR STANCE ON DATA SALES Sherman Pathways is an academic institution. We do not sell your personal data for monetary value. We do not act as a data broker. However, under the broad definition of "sale" or "sharing" in California law (which can include using advertising cookies), we provide this tool to ensure you have full control over your digital footprint.

How to Exercise Your Rights

If you wish to formally record a "Do Not Sell/Share" request, or if you wish to limit the use of your sensitive personal information, please use the options below:

Option 1: Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Our website automatically recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If you use a browser or extension with GPC enabled, we will automatically suppress non-essential tracking pixels for your session.

Option 2: Submit a Request

To permanently record your opt-out preference in our internal governance registry, please contact our Data Compliance Officer:
