What OTHM Is — and What It Is Not

OTHM Qualifications is a UK-based awarding organization regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). It is not a university. It is the official regulated body that governs Stage 1 of a two-stage UK Master's degree pathway.

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma is the taught coursework stage of a UK Master's — equivalent to the postgraduate coursework component. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to top-up to a full Master's degree at a registered UK university by completing a supervised dissertation.

⚠ Critical Clarification The OTHM Level 7 Diploma alone does not confer a Master's degree. It is the governed qualification stage that precedes — and enables — university top-up. The full pathway requires both the OTHM Diploma and a university dissertation stage.

RSIT integrates the OTHM framework to provide students with a formally regulated UK qualification stage that carries internationally recognized credit weight — 120 UK Credits, equivalent to 60 ECTS — before transitioning to a university partner for degree completion.

OTHM Level 7 Diploma

Complete the Ofqual-regulated Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management & Leadership. 120 UK Credits. Governed postgraduate qualification stage. Opens eligibility for university top-up.

University Dissertation Top-Up

Complete a supervised Master's dissertation at a registered UK university. Upon successful defense, you are awarded a full UK Master's degree (MBA or MA depending on the top-up institution).

GRC Practitioner Output: Graduates of the full pathway (Diploma + University Top-Up) hold a UK Master's degree with embedded AI GRC practitioner certifications from RSIT — qualified to lead strategic AI governance at the senior management level.
